Happy to Welcome You Here in Corfu Dog Phyzio!
Welcome to DOG PHYZIO CENTER. My aim is to give all dogs in need a second chance and a better life, because they deserve it! Dogs are such an important part of our lives and they give so much to us all that the least we can do is ensure we are providing them with the quality of care they deserve.
We welcome all pets at our center with treats and fresh water always available at all the time.
My name is Lucie Topolska and my love for dogs was so strong, that I decided to study to become veterinary assistant. After my studies and visiting my friend’s centrum for rehabilitation dogs, I felt in love with the idea to be able to give the dogs a chance to get better. I would love to give them opportunity for conservative treatment and to be happy again. It is so rewarding job!!
I decided to study to become certified canine hydrotheraphist and certified canine theraphist (body work) and to study at Australian Canine Health and Wellbeing Academy. I have graduated in 2024. While I was studying I was visiting Canine centrum in Czech Republic, were I did my practice and gained experience from top phyziotheraphist in Czech Republic, Mrs. Stephanie Mach. I have completed in Czech Republic course of application of Dorn’s method principles in dogs as well as soft tissue manual therapy course. I have also become qualified canine rehabilitation practitioner and member of ACRA, canine Rehabilitation Association.

Professional Skills
FIRST VISIT
I work with veterinary clinics, always and only with referral from your Vet.I I consult most of cases with Vets, for the best result. On your first visit I will examine your pet, gather some information from you and patients medical history, which are needed to create right and effective rehabilitation program for your dog.Once the right rehabilitation program is created we can begin.
I use many massage techniques, stretching techniques, exercises and aqua therapy. Sometimes for the best result is the best combination of both. Every patient has individual rehabilitation plan.
REMEDIAL MASSAGE ,STRETCHING, EXERSIZES AND BODY WORK :
Canine remedial massage accelerates healing after injuries or surgeries, aiding in the restoration of muscle strength and flexibility. Other benefit for our pets is , that massage is alleviating pain, caused by muscle tension, injuries or chronic conditions, promoting your dog’s comfort and well-being. By releasing muscle knots and improving circulation, massage enhances your dogs’ range of motion, making them more agile and active. Stretching and strengthening can help with pain and may reduce the need for medications and surgeries in the future.
Benefits of massage and body work:
⦁ Improved circulation and assist in healing
⦁ Reducing muscle tension that can cause pain
⦁ Addressing compensatory muscle tightness and soreness through altered postures caused by injury or surgery
⦁ Accelerating recovery following exercise
⦁ Maintaining and prolonging mobility of senior pets affected by arthritis
⦁ Prevention of possible injuries
-specially with sports dogs
⦁ By releasing muscle knots and improving circulation, massage enhances your dog’s range of motion, making them more agile and active. Especially as they age.
⦁ Massage restores the muscle strength
⦁ Just like with humans, massage relaxes dogs, muscles and minds, reducing stress and anxiety

AQUA THERAPHY- UNDER WATER TREDMILL FOR DOGS
Our center is the only one on the island which has underwater treadmill for dogs. It is made by well-known German company .(PHISIO-TECH)
Dog walks or trotters in a special rehabilitation bath in warm water (which helps relax muscles and reduce pain) on an underwater treadmill. The buoyancy of the water takes the weight of the dog’s limbs, allowing them to move freely, with minimal stress on their joints, making it especially beneficial for dogs with Ortopedic issues, neurological issues, arthrisis, senior dogs, sporting dogs or post surgery -recovery. The height of the water level, the speed and the incline of the belt are always adapted to the given individual to make the therapeutic effect as great as possible. Movement in the bathtub can hardly be replaced in another way and therefore this method cannot be replaced during rehabilitation.
